The mental scales: It’s all about attitude

When I say scales, you probably think about a healthy physical weight or balance.
Especially balance is important, not just physically but also mentally. When you think about your life: how much weight do you put on the positive experiences and how much on the negative experiences? Wild guess, but there won’t be any balance because the negativity tips the scales.
In fact…most people give more “weight” to the negative experiences. Now (unfortunately), some people go through very negative experience in life which have a great impact on their life. And in that case it’s logical to give more weight to the negative experiences. On the other hand roughly said, you have the “average” person who’s had a normal childhood, with a roof over his head, educated, a (loving family), with the conveniences of the modern Western world and freedom. The funny thing is that the people who’ve had very bad experiences …

You only live once…

– Dive in to the deep. Magic happens outside your comfort zone.
– Be proud of who you are, dare to be different.
– Stop looking at what you don’t have. Start appreciating what you do have, before time will make you appreciate what you HAD.
– Let things go if they aren’t meant to be.
– If you have something good, cherish it. Remember that the grass only looks greener on the other side…
– Don’t give up too easily. Some things are worth fighting for.
– Appreciate the people who always have your back. Don’t take them for granted.
– Live your dreams, don’t dream your life.

Petite, but not small minded
Sweet, but no angel
Full of dreams, but not delusional
Young, but an old soul
Following my own pad without getting lost
Restless, but still a Chill Guru
Spicy with enough sugar to keep the balance
Warm hearted, but “freezing” around those who are cold
When it get’s clouded…always trying to find the sunny side

Life is too short…

…to spend on worrying about what other people think of you
…to spend time on a friend who turns out to be a so-called friend
…to listen to everyone BUT yourself
…to spend time on people who give you “bad vibes”
…to remain angry about issues from the past. Deal with it or (try to) get over it
…to change into someone you don’t wanna be, just because people/society expect it from you
…to be sad. “Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional”
…to want to impress people you don’t like, you’ll probably never like and who don’t deserve your attention
…to be a copycat, because you’re best at being YOU
