As you’ll discover in these blogposts: My taste in music is very various and logically my ipod can not be stereotyped in a certain music category: from rock to alternative, pop to latin, dance/house to soul and reggae with a little bit of funk and jazz. It’s all there!

Today I’m into the old soul classics mood. These oldskool soul classics will instantly put you in a dance mood and lift your spirit.

When it comes to soul, I’m definitely an old soul lover. And I’m talking about way back, like the 1950s and 1960s. The songs that we’re made when I wasn’t even born, but which will definitely fall into the never skip-and never-erase-of-your-ipod category. They don’t make them like this anymore…

Nostalgia is probably my middle name when it comes to fashion and movies. But let’s not forget the music!

Songs can be divided in different categories.:
…You’ve got songs that are pretty nice to listen to for a few months.
…Songs that bring back childhood memories.
…Songs on your ipod that you always skip, but never delete.
…Song on your ipod that you never skip and never delete.
…Songs that make you move (on the street, on the dancefloor…It doesn’t matter. Your feet won’t escape the beat).
…And of course: songs that make your soul move (with or without vocals).
Today a picked two songs from the last category. So here’s an ode to those musical masterpieces where no words are needed. The music speaks for itself. And since the Port of Rotterdam North Sea Jazz festival takes place in The Netherlands this weekend, I’m a little bit in the jazzy masterpiece mood:
