A few days ago I had yet another Vintage meets Present moment. I actually have a lot of those. There was nothing interesting to watch on television – I also have a lot of those moments recently – so I decided it was dvd time: Classic Hollywood o’clock. Although watching dvd’s is also considered vintage these days. I was in the mood to watch a good old comedy that I hadn’t watched before, so I decided to watch the movie Monkey Business. So what kind of movie is it and more importantly: is the movie worth watching?

We’re still in the celebration mood. Friday was the yearly Holi spring celebration where Hindus (and anyone else who likes to join) celebrate the arrival of spring. Yesterday spring was literally in the air and in my opinion a day that officially required sunglasses. So what do you do when you go outside? Take Forget your sunglasses. Oh well, today is another sunny day. The forecast of warm sunny days for the next six months makes me really cheerful. First of all, I am the kind of person who embraces hibernation in January and February. Especially when we have really cold winters. Secondly: I love those spring (and summer) retro looks. So keep that sun coming!
Brace yourself. Halloween pictures will rule your social media timeline the coming week. And in this case you can blame me. However, you may just blame me for some good old vintage entertainment or for that cool, original Halloween look. October is ending, the nights are getting colder and everyone who celebrates Halloween is looking for some fabulous and scary Halloween outfits. If you’re looking for some inspiration, look back. And I mean look way back in history. Get inspired by these vintage Halloween pictures. Oh and pay attention. We go back and forth from nice vintage Halloween pictures, to pictures that are 10 times scarier than nowadays Halloween fashion. Happy (vintage) Halloween!
