Retro bedtime!

You know those moments when you look around in your apartment and you’re like: ”Hey you know what I haven’t done in a while: bought something new. You know what they say: your home is never finished. I recognize that a lot when it comes to accessories. Every time when I think I have bought the last decoration item (or clothes), my retro eyes find something else I want. And Fast. I went from wall decoration to pillows and from pillows to decoration for my bedroom. Because a good night sleep and sweet retro dreams are of course also a must.

Duvet Cover collection

So, I was pleasantly surprised when I was contacted by Dekbed Discounter to choose and try out a product. I have to say that the bed sheets and duvet covers were not high on my priority list at that moment. I actually did need to expand my duvet cover collection, because compared to my retro clothes collection it was very sober. I actually find it difficult to find duvet covers in regular shops, because in my opinion, the prints are always too dull. Personally, I like the elegant, but heavy prints. For example baroque style, but also (retro) oriental inspired prints like paisley.

Choosing a duvet cover

Choosing a duvet cover was not as easy as I thought. Dekbed Discounter has a large collection to choose from. This also applies to the prices: No matter what kind of budget you have, there is always something that suits your preferences. Next to that, you can also easily choose the material that you want. I opened a lot of tabs! Eventually, the choice was between the retro inspired print on the featured image above and a more oriental style print. I went for the oriental one, because the colors reminded me of spring. And I am more than ready for spring! I chose a duvet cover with a combination of satin and cotton. It’s super soft (my duvet cover is so fluffy), super comfortable and warm, but not too warm. In other words: the best of both worlds.
