As you know, I believe we are currently living in a great era. We can look back and pick out the positive things (and experiences) of previous eras, but we can also enjoy present luxuries. From music to fashion and from fashion to your home. As a very Vintage meets Present fan, I obviously do like modern technology and interior. On the other hand, I love it when a house has some retro aspects. You can do that for example with paintings, a very colorful retro interior and of course with retro lifestyle items.
As you may know, social media is now my number one source of finding new (retro) brands. Previous time, it was Instagram, now it’s Facebook. Last week, I found a very interesting webshop as I was scrolling through my facebook timeline: Surf4trends. A webshop with all kinds of retro lifestyle items for your home. Back to the roaring 20s, fabulous fifties or “Mad Men” sixties? Retro lifestyle here we come.
Obviously, I had to check out that webshop right away. After analyzing every page of the website, I came to the conclusion that once again, I found a little pearl in the webshop world. This is not just any retro lifestyle webshop, it’s specialized in retro electronic lifestyle items. A lust for the (retro) eyes, but also very functional and very Vintage meets Present, because of the built-in modern technologies (like Bluetooth, convertible to mp3 etcetera). Another interesting detail: some of the items are produced with recycled material. So not only retrolicious, but also very eco-friendly! These retro items actually fit in every (modern) interior, but they give your home some nice classic and retro vibes.
I have already made my own little wishlist…
Listen to the retro radio:
Or…a portable version with Bluetooth functionality:
Back to the 20s with this phone:
What is the midcentury style without a good old turntable. It’s portable, so it’s also perfect for a picknick:
This one would be on my to buy list, if I didn’t have a clock already:
This lovely design lamp works on solar energy (or you can use an USB cable). This is a great alternative for a regular lamp on your balcony, terrace or in your garden:

Vintage retro radio, telefoon of plaat draaien dat je laat zien. Ik vind het allemaal mooie spullen. Ik hou zeker van retro, zelfs de inrichting en de oranje gordijn om de stoel. Meer dan straks gepoetste nieuwe interieurs.
