I’ve been in the 90s mood lately. It all started with binge-watch sessions of Full House. After that I went for 90s binge-listen sessions on Spotify. So I was listening to this song – I know how 90s eurohouse can it get – and my mind wandered away and stopped at the personal branding station. Be somebody is a good motto. Be yourself is even better. Not for the world, but especially for yourself. And branding who you are will add value to your life. I remember when I was a little girl…
I usually don’t really follow the tag hype in blogger land, but every now and then I make an exception. I saw this Christmas Tag popping up on some blogs and really liked the questions of this tag. So how does this Floriental meets Modern Vintage gal spend Christmas? Read along:
What’s your favourite Christmas movie?
I love Christmas movies that give me those nostalgic Christmas vibes. Somehow old (Christmas) movies give me more Christmas vibes than new ones. I have seen some pieces of “A wonderful life” (1946) with James Stewart and Donna Reed. This year it’s on my to-watch-list during Christmas. “A White Christmas” (1954), with Bing Crosby is also a great classic, especially since we won’t be getting a real-life white Christmas anytime soon ;-).
But…I am also a true 90s kid. And what was a 90s Christmas without Home Alone? Next to that, I have watched “The Grinch” several …
I am back from my second and last trip this year: A trip to Iceland! I traveled with my brother and didn’t really know what to expect, so I expected nothing. We flew with Icelandair and I was pleasantly surprised that we had indoor entertainment for the short flight (approximately 3 hours). We went to Iceland for six days and combined a city trip with some excursions that we booked beforehand. We had a great time there and I can already say that we will we back… I made a list of a few highlights of our trip:
Time to get personal today! In the blog word there are a lot of blogtags where bloggers nominate each other to answer a few questions. A few weeks ago ,I was nominated with the Liebster award by Melike from Melikebeauty. It’s basically a digital award which is given by bloggers to other blog colleagues who’ve just started a blog. Now I am not really a starter in the blog world and I probably should’ve done this a few years ago, but to quote Clark Gable in Gone with the Wind: Quite frankly, I don’t give a damn ;-). More importantly, it’s a nice way to get to know the person behind the blog with that vintage fascination and the questions of this Liebster Award tag were in fact interesting questions that literally stimulated me to think about my future (as blogger).
Let’s hit it off!
Yesterday I was mesmerizing about the past. I am not talking about the roaring twenties, fifties or sixties. No, this time I am talking about the time I grew up: (mainly) the nineties. Certain things that were so common (or literally painful) back then, are now filed in the funny childhood memories section. I am actually the kind of person who talks like the nineties are still 10 years ago, but time flies. We are almost 20-25 years away. There are always funny moments that you remember from the time that you were a kid. Here are a few memories that always make me smile (or: #facepalm) when I think back.
